Go Dau: Policy credit actively contributes to poverty reduction and new rural construction

On the afternoon of May 26, the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of Go Dau district held a regular meeting for the second quarter of 2025.

Ms. Truong Thi Phu - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Representative Board chaired the meeting. Attending were Mr. Ho Van Khanh - Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

In the first 5 months of 2025, the Board of Representatives directed the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to effectively implement policy credit programs in the area. The total allocated capital reached 501 billion VND, an increase of 36 billion VND over the same period last year (growth rate of 7.69%). Thereby, the unit has disbursed 92.5 billion VND to 2,164 customers who are poor and near-poor households, students in difficult circumstances, people who have completed their prison sentences, loans to buy social housing, clean water and rural environmental sanitation, support job creation, etc.

District People's Credit Fund disburses capital to people of Go Dau town.

The district's Social Policy Bank is currently coordinating with 4 entrusted socio- political organizations (Farmers' Association, Women's Association, Veterans' Association, Youth Union) to organize 9 fixed transaction points in communes and towns. The district currently has 301 savings and loan groups managing 15,530 customers with a total outstanding debt of over 497 billion VND, implementing 10 policy credit programs.

Policy capital has been making an important contribution to the construction of new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, supporting people to develop production, livestock, small businesses and create jobs in Go Dau district.
