Temporarily stop picking up and dropping off passengers to and from Ban Gioc waterfall scenic area

Due to the incident that occurred in the scenic area in China, after agreeing with the relevant departments of the neighboring country, the Management Board of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area has just announced the temporary suspension of transporting tourists between Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) and Duc Thien (China).

Accordingly, the Management Board of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area (under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province) Cao Bang ) requests that travel agencies notify tourists about the temporarily stop picking up and dropping off passengers Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Detian (China) from August 11 until further notice.

The reason for the suspension was given as an incident that occurred at a scenic area on the Chinese side.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is located on the border between Vietnam and China.

Businesses and travel agencies should review cases where tourists have registered and paid fees and then refund or handle them in a harmonious manner. Tourism Management Board Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourists are requested not to register for the tour route between Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) and Detian (China) for now.

It is known that the activity of transporting tourists back and forth between Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) was piloted from September 15, 2023. After more than 10 months of operation, there have been nearly 950 groups with about 12,000 people entering and going back and forth for sightseeing and tourism. The activity of transporting tourists is carried out by the travel agency coordinate smoothly and comply with the laws of both sides.

Domestic tourism activities in the Ban Gioc waterfall area (Cao Bang, Vietnam) are still taking place normally.
