Ban Gioc Waterfall ranked 17th, the only representative of Vietnam in the list announced in mid-May.

Located on the Vietnam - China border, Ban Gioc waterfall is located in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province. Travel+Leisure describes the waterfall, which straddles the Vietnam-China border, as displaying the majestic beauty and power of the water flowing endlessly through layers and cliffs into the lakes below. The prestigious American travel magazine once voted the Top 25 most beautiful waterfalls in the world in 2021, Top 15 best waterfalls in the world for hiking in 2023. The criteria for naming the most beautiful waterfall in the world in 2024 are having many tourists, often protected by parks or designated by UNESCO.

From Ban Gioc waterfall, tourists can visit many famous tourist attractions of Cao Bang such as Nguom Ngao cave, Pac Bo relic site, Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc pagoda. September and October are the ideal time to explore the waterfall.

In 2021, Ban Gioc was also named by this magazine in the list of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
