Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Matsuda Hisashi - Chairman of Okayama City Industry and Commerce Association said that he was very pleased to welcome the delegation of Long An province. In 2023, the delegation of Long An province also visited Okayama city and signed a Memorandum of Understanding; in April 2024, the delegation of Okayama City Industry and Commerce Association also visited a number of production facilities and was very impressed with the development potential and infrastructure of Long An International Port. He believes that in the coming time, Long An will develop remarkably and hopes to have many exchanges like this through various cooperation connection channels.
Currently, there is a shortage of labor in Japan, while Long An province has a young and skilled workforce; therefore, in the coming time, we need the support of Long An province leaders and businesses to send workers to work in Japan to contribute to increasing the shortage of human resources working at factories in Okayama city.

These are signs showing the interest in developing cooperation between the two sides since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2024. The Mayor of Okayama City expressed his appreciation for the human resources that Long An Province is capable of sending to work at enterprises in Okayama City. He also said that after the visit to Long An in 2023, there is a lot of potential for cooperation between the two sides in areas of interest, especially Long An Province has many conditions for further development.
