Earlier, around dawn on October 28th, rising floodwaters from the Luỹ River caused a section of National Highway 1 near Ông Vạc Bridge in Lương Sơn commune ( Lâm Đồng province) to be deeply submerged. The flooded area extended for about 100 meters and was about half a meter deep, temporarily cutting off traffic in both directions.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the Traffic Police and the Road Management Office IV.1 deployed officers to coordinate traffic control in the flooded area. The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police sent personnel to guide long-distance drivers to turn around and use the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway to change their route.

The rising water level of the Song Luy River has also caused flooding in some areas of Song Luy commune. Specifically, at 1:40 AM this morning (October 28th), in Suoi Nhuom village, approximately 25 households were flooded to a depth of 0.8 - 1.5 meters.
Anticipating the situation, as soon as the water level rose, the Song Luy commune authorities mobilized the commune's military forces along with the police and other relevant agencies to help households move people, livestock, poultry, and belongings to safe locations.
