Overview of the Thuy Van road renovation project.
The Thuy Van road upgrade project, a key urban development project along the coastal area of Vung Tau city, will be inaugurated on December 19th. With a total investment of over 1,068 billion VND, the project is expected to create a new look for the urban and tourism space in the Bai Sau area.
The project includes many important components such as improving transportation infrastructure, developing a system of parks, squares, and public spaces. The centerpiece of the project is Thuy Van Park and Tam Thang Square, designed to become the city's new cultural and entertainment hub.

Notable architectural and infrastructure features
The Thuy Van Park section is approximately 3.2 km long, with a total area of over 19.2 hectares. This space is planned as an open public area, directly connected to the Bai Sau coastal road, creating favorable conditions for residents and tourists to access it.
The main architectural highlight of the project is the Tam Thang Tower, which has been completed and is undergoing trial operation since September 2025. The structure comprises 143 tower pillars with heights ranging from over 3 meters to over 30 meters. Surrounding the tower is a system of fountains, a central plaza, walking paths, and landscaped areas paved with granite and basalt, combined with greenery and artistic lighting.
Along the park's route, six underground public service stations have also been completed. Each station covers an area of over 1,000 m² and is designed with unique above-ground architecture based on themes such as Fishing Village, Seashell, Seashell, Cloud, Tree, and Gas, creating vibrant visual highlights.

Impact on tourism and the local economy .
Upon completion, Thuy Van Street is expected to become a model coastal cultural, tourism, and entertainment space. The project integrates an artistic light show system, a check-in bridge, and community spaces. Tam Thang Square is planned to be multi-functional, capable of hosting large-scale cultural events and festivals.
The project not only enhances the appearance of the Back Beach area but also creates momentum for socio-economic development. Back Beach currently welcomes approximately 5-6 million visitors annually. Investment in modern infrastructure is considered a key factor attracting major investors in the high-end resort tourism segment, exemplified by the two 5-star hotel complexes with a total investment of 10,000 billion VND currently under construction nearby.
