Coffee prices today (December 14th) recorded a sharp downward adjustment in both domestic and international markets. In the Central Highlands, the purchase price officially fell below 100,000 VND/kg after a decrease of 1,700–1,800 VND/kg. This development was directly influenced by increased selling pressure on international exchanges.
Domestic coffee market
As of the morning of December 14th, the price of bulk green coffee beans in the Central Highlands provinces has dropped sharply, fluctuating between 98,700 and 99,200 VND/kg . This is the lowest price recorded this week.
| Local | Today's price (VND/kg) | Change in price (VND/kg) |
|---|---|---|
| Dak Lak | 99,200 | -1,800 |
| Gia Lai | 99,000 | -1,700 |
| Lam Dong | 98,700 | -1,800 |
In Dak Lak, coffee prices fell by 1,800 VND/kg to 99,200 VND/kg; however, this remains the province with the highest purchase price nationwide. Lam Dong province recorded the lowest price in the region at 98,700 VND/kg, also down 1,800 VND/kg compared to the previous session.

According to analysts, today's sharp decline reflects short-term correction pressure. If the global market does not find momentum for recovery, domestic coffee prices may continue to fluctuate. Nevertheless, current prices remain significantly higher than the same period in previous years, helping farmers maintain profitability.
