Pepper growers across the country are currently entering the final care stage, preparing for the 2025-2026 harvest season starting in late November. When new supplies hit the market, prices may drop slightly by about VND1,000 - 2,000/kg, but the overall trend remains positive thanks to stable demand.
The long-term outlook for Vietnamese pepper is optimistic as import demand from China, India and Europe is recovering. Many businesses expect that the fourth quarter of 2025 will open up opportunities to expand orders, creating a foundation for export growth in 2026.
According to statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first half of October 2025, pepper export volume reached 9,056 tons, with a turnover of 59.9 million USD, a slight decrease compared to September. From the beginning of the year to October 15, the total export volume reached 197.1 thousand tons, equivalent to 1.33 billion USD.
Although exports remained stable, domestic and world pepper prices in October both decreased slightly compared to the previous month. This is considered a necessary adjustment period after a long series of increases, helping the market regain balance and creating a foundation for a new increase at the end of the year.
