Giving gifts to disabled children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School and Thanh Xuan Peace Village

On May 27, a working delegation of the Hanoi Association for Relief of Disabled Children, led by Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Relief of Disabled Children and President of the Hanoi Association for Relief of Disabled Children Nguyen Kim Hoang, visited and presented gifts to excellent students and students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies in the 2024-2025 school year at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School and Thanh Xuan Peace Village.

At Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School (Lac Trung Street, Hanoi), the program of giving gifts on the occasion of Children's Day June 1 to the school's visually impaired children was organized in conjunction with the Closing Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year with the participation of many delegates and more than 1,500 students.

During the program, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children, President of the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children Nguyen Kim Hoang presented the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister to the school, recognizing and honoring the outstanding achievements in all fieldsof education , from studying, training to innovative activities, applying digital technology in teaching, affirming the pioneering position of the school, especially in the education of visually impaired children.

Along with that, the Prime Minister 's Certificate of Merit was also awarded to teacher Do Thi Thuy, Vice Principal of the school. On this occasion, 35 gifts were also presented by the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children and sponsors to the children who are students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School with the spirit of overcoming difficulties and determination, constantly striving to improve in their studies.

Next, the delegation visited Thanh Xuan Peace Village (Le Van Thiem Street, Hanoi). Established in 1991, this facility is responsible for caring for, nurturing and treating children with disabilities due to the effects of Agent Orange/dioxin and other causes. After 34 years of operation, Thanh Xuan Peace Village has received tens of thousands of children with disabilities to study and receive comprehensive rehabilitation treatment, most of whom are children with multiple disabilities aged 5 years and older.

At Thanh Xuan Peace Village, along with 15 gifts from the Hanoi Disabled Children Relief Association, the Association's leaders also mobilized many resources to donate on this occasion. Specifically: Huong Giang Interfa Group International Fashion Joint Stock Company donated 60 gifts to children and gifts to the collective unit including 200kg of rice, 3 boxes of noodles, 3 boxes of pho, 5 cans of 5l of vegetable oil, 1 box of fish sauce, 1 box of spices/salt, 10kg of seasoning powder; The Vietnamese Zen singing business community donated Thanh Xuan Peace Village 01 blood circulation balancing machine - a thermotherapy machine that helps to promote yang energy, clear meridians, and promote blood circulation to support rehabilitation work... and 20 gifts.

The total number of gifts given on May 27 was 130, along with gifts in kind, with a total value of more than 100 million VND.

Vice President of the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children Bui Van Tuan said: Towards the Children's Day on June 1, the Hanoi Association for the Relief of Disabled Children will also present gifts at the Thanh Tri District School for Disabled Children, and together with the sponsor Vietnam Zen Business Community, present a blood circulation balancing machine - a thermotherapy machine to the Hope Center (Kim Ma Street). The activity of giving gifts to excellent students and students with difficult circumstances who have made great achievements in their studies will also continue to be implemented by the Association in coordination with sponsors during the Month of Action for Children (from June 1 to 30), contributing to the implementation of the theme "Prioritizing resources, completing goals for children".
