Hanoi establishes a working group to combat trade fraud and counterfeit goods

Establish a working group to direct, supervise and urge the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.

On May 27, the City People's Committee issued Decision 2664/QD-UBND on the establishment of a Working Group to direct, supervise, and urge the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling , trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in Hanoi .

According to the decision, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the City People's Committee is the Head of the Team; Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the City Steering Committee 389 is the Permanent Deputy Head of the Team; 2 Deputy Heads are Mr. Vo Nguyen Phong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Director of the City Police.

The members are Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Standing Member; Mr. Dinh Quoc Hung, Deputy Chief of Office of the City People's Committee; Mr. Vu Cao Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment...

The working group is responsible for directing, inspecting, and urging departments, branches, district, town People's Committees, and functional forces in deploying and implementing Official Dispatch No. 65 of the Prime Minister on launching a peak campaign against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights. At the same time, the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the National Steering Committee 389 in the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

Along with that is directing the inspection and recommending the handling of organizations and individuals who lack a sense of responsibility, are negative, lax in management, assist in smuggling, trade fraud, production and trade of counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation. The Working Group shall dissolve upon completion of its tasks.
