Increasing the attractiveness of Da Nang beach tourism

To increase the attractiveness of Da Nang beach for tourists , this summer the city's tourism industry continuously organizes activities and events to attract visitors. On this occasion, along Da Nang beaches, many miniature landscapes and check-in areas have been installed and put into operation, becoming a highlight to attract visitors.

Accordingly, many activities are organized by the city at Da Nang beach to serve the entertainment needs of residents and tourists. Many festival activities have made Da Nang beach a familiar meeting place such as the opening program of Da Nang beach tourism season (April 30 and May 1), the 9th Vietnam - Japan Cultural Festival 2024 in Da Nang...

In particular, from July 17 to 21, the Enjoy Danang 2024 festival will take place in the Da Nang coastal area. This is an annual event, on a city scale with 14 unique cultural and tourism activities that are expected by locals and tourists. Among them, there are notable programs such as the grand opening concert of the Enjoy Danang festival on the evening of July 17 held at Bien Dong Park with a scale of more than 20,000 guests; the Vietnamese - International Flavors culinary festival (taking place from July 17 to 21); artistic kite performance from July 17 to 19 with more than 50 large-sized aerodynamic kites, shaped like marine creatures, etc.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong, with the desire to bring new experiences when traveling to Da Nang, the city's tourism industry and businesses are making efforts to renew existing products; upgrade and innovate food stalls and display booths using environmentally friendly equipment to create a unique space. People and tourists coming here can both enjoy food and watch culinary performances by artisans and professional chefs. This year, there is also a new activity: a sailboat performance on the Han River (July 20), with the appearance of more than 15 sailboats parading along the Han River, creating something new and different.

In addition, the Department of Tourism has proactively connected with travel agencies to research, promote, and advertise event activities to customers. Travel agencies have proactively built and upgraded existing tours and routes in combination with festival products and activities for tourists. To promote this major event, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center has cooperated with Traveloka (an application specializing in providing online flight and hotel booking services) to introduce the tourism stimulus program "Enjoy Da Nang 2024". Traveloka built a website to promote the "Enjoy Da Nang" program to domestic and international tourists, issuing nearly 2,000 vouchers for tourists to use products and services on Traveloka such as booking flight tickets, hotels, and sightseeing tickets in Da Nang.

Mr. Ho Thanh Tu, Director of Phieu Luu Viet Company Limited, said that from the beginning, businesses have worked with related units to build and create products to attract customers this summer. In addition to bringing the events of the Enjoy Summer 2024 festival into tour programs to enhance the experience for customers, the tourism industry, tourism associations, and businesses have also cooperated to offer combo packages (air tickets, hotel rooms, etc.) to stimulate demand at extremely preferential prices to attract customers to Da Nang. According to Mr. Ho Thanh Tu, these incentive programs have had very positive results since the opening sale (June 21), with a large number of customers asking to buy, mainly young people and groups of young people.

Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, Tran Dai Nghia, said that to ensure the safety of residents and visitors when participating in recreational activities held at Da Nang beaches, the management board has made specific plans since the beginning of the year to upgrade public service facilities and service activities at the beaches. The management board coordinates with functional forces to ensure security and order, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation when there are large events with large crowds; at the same time, increase 100% of the rescue force at beaches with many residents and visitors coming to visit and experience.
