One of the places Tang Thanh Ha highly appreciates is Carette restaurant. This brand has many branches in the center of Paris, serving typical dishes of French cuisine .
Coming to France this time, the "rich bride" did not miss the opportunity to taste escargot at Carette. The dish is made from snails cooked in butter sauce and parsley, served with toast. This is a special appetizer only available in France because European countries in particular and the West in general are wary of this ingredient.
Meanwhile, the French prefer to cook with snails. In addition to escargot, there are also snails grilled with garlic butter, snail spaghetti, snail pizza, stir-fried snails, and snail soup. These dishes are all high-end and are often served in luxury restaurants.
Escargot was invented around 1814 by Napoleon's servant Tallyrand. According to legend, the French Emperor wanted to dine with Tsar Alexander I at a restaurant but because he was late, the only ingredients left were snails.
The servant Tallyrand used these snails, added garlic and parsley to make escargot. The emperors loved this dish, from then on, escargot became famous all over the world and was most popular in France.
Before cooking, snails are fed special herbs to cleanse the digestive system and remove the fishy smell, then processed by washing, boiling and cooking.
The snails are grilled and then cooked with butter, garlic, chicken or wine, then put back into the cleaned shells, drizzled with butter, parsley and garlic sauce. Each serving has only about 6-12 snails per plate, served with a special snail picker.

In addition to escargot, Tang Thanh Ha also enjoyed scrambled eggs with mushrooms (oeufs brouillés aux champignons sauvages), served with smoked meat, and crispy toast. This is a familiar French breakfast set. In addition, the menu also includes spaghetti with green mussel sauce and fresh burrata cheese.
Carette restaurant is the most famous in France for its hot chocolate served with croissants. Ha Tang broke off pieces of the cake, dipped them in the dark chocolate, and placed heavy cream underneath, adding the sweetness of brown sugar. This is the standard French way to eat this dish.
Carette opened in 1927 and now has three branches, two restaurants and a patisserie, located in the Marais, Place du Trocadero and Montmartre. All are located in popular tourist areas of Paris, and are open seven days a week until midnight.
