Affordable, accessible and delicious - a culinary tour of Asia means you'll never go hungry, according to the British magazine.
Synonymous with affordable and addictive street food, Asia is considered a haven for some of the world's best street food with tiny plastic stools and aromas wafting everywhere.
From the stalls of Penang to the back alleys of Hanoi , follow your stomach to these 10 street food cities across Asia.
Hanoi ranked 2nd in the top 10
In the list of top 10 cities with the best street food in Asia, Hanoi ranked second, after Penang (Malaysia). Following that are Singapore, Mumbai (India), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Tainan (Taiwan), Osaka (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Chengdu (China).
The capital of Vietnam is considered to be a convergence of countless delicious dishes from small alleys, cramped staircases or crowded street corners.
"Stand in line outside Banh Mi 25 in the Old Quarter for a banh mi heo quay (roast pork sandwich). Find a steaming bowl of Pho Bac down the dark hallway, up the winding stairs leading to Ms. Minh's living room at Pho Hang Trong. Sit on a stool at Banh Cuon Ba Loc for a banh cuon stuffed with minced pork and mushrooms," the magazine suggests.
If you only eat one dish, bun cha is a suggestion. Rich and delicious broth with grilled meatballs and pork belly, served with fresh rice noodles.
Last year, surpassing other nominees such as Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul..., Hanoi became "Asia's best culinary city in 2024" awarded by the World Culinary Awards in Dubai, UAE.
