The training was attended by agricultural officers and farmers in the province. At the training courses, trainees were informed and instructed on the implementation of the IPHM program; equipped with knowledge on technical measures in IPHM, ensuring sustainable plant health through comprehensive measures to prevent pests, increase productivity and protect the environment.
Thereby, helping students improve their understanding of the benefits of IPHM to enhance plant health as well as the ability to prevent and control pests and withstand adverse weather conditions, improve production efficiency, ensure food safety and contribute to protecting the ecological environment and biodiversity.
Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection Ho Khac Minh said: Implementing the IPHM project, the goal by 2030 is that the whole province strives to have over 80% of rice, vegetable, fruit tree, medicinal herb and 60% of corn, industrial crops apply IPHM; reduce 30% of chemical pesticides and inorganic fertilizers; increase economic efficiency by 15-20% compared to normal production. The province strives for over 80% of communes (with concentrated agricultural production) to have a core team of farmers who understand, have skills and effectively apply IPHM; each commune and ward has at least 2 community IPHM instructors; 90% of communes and wards collect used pesticide packaging in accordance with regulations...
