On the afternoon of October 20, Sailing ship 286 - Le Quy Don of the Naval Academy carrying a delegation of the Vietnam People's Navy docked at Nha Trang port, completing the mission of visiting and exchanging with the Singapore Navy on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of establishing the Vietnam - Singapore Strategic Partnership.

Sailing ship 286 - Le Quy Don departed on October 4, making a 17-day voyage of more than 1,500 nautical miles. The delegation visited and exchanged with the Singapore Navy. The foreign exchange activities were organized in accordance with the approved content and program and the guidance and direction of the Navy's foreign affairs agency. Representatives of the working delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Singapore Navy at Changi Naval Base; welcomed the Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore and the Singapore Navy delegation to visit the ship; organized a reception and cultural exchange on the ship... The activities were imbued with cultural identity, ensuring solidarity and friendship, leaving a good impression on the Singapore Navy.

In addition, the working group organized training in shifts, completing 100% of the training content and program as planned; as a result, 100% of the trainees met the requirements, of which 82% were good and excellent.
During the mission, the delegation thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Navy Commander's orders on combat readiness; strictly complied with international maritime laws as well as regulations when the ship participated in activities in foreign seas and ports. The entire ship strictly maintained the on-duty system, organized shifts, closely observed, and followed regulations. The work of ensuring communication was well organized, smooth, and safe. The ship's journey was on schedule, absolutely safe, and took advantage of the weather conditions to operate sails for the journey.
At the end of the working trip, the Naval Academy awarded 2 groups and 18 individuals for completing their tasks well.
