The staff, lecturers, employees and students released 3,500 pomfret species into the Dam Bay mangrove forest area and Hon Mun Strict Protection Zone; collected more than 50kg of plastic waste around Hon Mun island and brought it to the mainland for treatment.

The activity is in response to Vietnam Sea and Islands Week (from June 1 to 8), World Oceans Day 2025 (June 8). The activity aims to promote and raise awareness among people and tourists in protecting aquatic resources; calling on organizations and individuals to actively participate in activities of releasing juveniles to regenerate aquatic resources and protect the environment. At the same time, equipping students of the Institute of Fisheries Science and Technology - Nha Trang University with practical skills and knowledge in studying and researching.
