Releasing about 4.7 million post-larvae shrimp into the sea to restore aquatic resources

In commemoration of the 66th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese fisheries sector (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2025), on the afternoon of April 1, the provincial Fisheries Department organized a ceremony to release shrimp seeds into the sea to regenerate aquatic resources. Attending the shrimp seed release ceremony were comrade Huynh Huu Tri - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches, armed forces and the People's Committee of Bac Lieu City.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development released the juvenile fish into the sea to regenerate aquatic resources.

At Nha Mat estuary (Bac Lieu City), provincial leaders, provincial departments, armed forces, and Bac Lieu City People's Committee released about 4.7 million post-larvae shrimp into the sea to regenerate aquatic resources in the wild. It is known that the source of post-larvae shrimp released into the wild this time was sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Fisheries Sub-Department, and more than 35 shrimp seed production facilities, companies, businesses, and aquaculture households.

Releasing shrimp larvae into the sea aims to regenerate aquatic resources, protect the marine environment and maintain the sustainability of the aquaculture industry. This is an annual activity demonstrating efforts in protecting natural resources, contributing to raising public awareness of protecting marine ecosystems in the context of aquatic resources facing the risk of decline...
