Thai Nguyen: Determined to implement the 2025 growth scenario

Speaking at the opening of the 94th Provincial Party Standing Committee Conference, 20th term, 2020-2025 term, to discuss and give opinions on the economic growth plan and scenario for the second quarter and the whole year of 2025, comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, stated that in the first quarter of 2025, the world and regional situation continued to have many complex and unpredictable developments; strategic competition continued to be more intense; some countries changed their economic, trade and tariff policies, which had a rapid, strong, profound and multi-dimensional impact on the economy, investment and trade. In particular, the global economic downturn and the US's imposition of reciprocal tariffs on countries are posing many difficulties and challenges for the domestic economy... causing some of the province's economic development targets to not be achieved.

These high rankings demonstrate the determination and resoluteness in administrative reform and institutional improvement to remove difficulties and bottlenecks and better serve the needs of people and businesses.

With that spirit, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung requested each member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to uphold their sense of responsibility, carefully study the growth plan and scenario for the second quarter and 2025 proposed by the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, thereby suggesting solutions for implementation; pointing out specific tasks for each target and each field to focus on removing difficulties and promoting growth.

Focus on removing difficulties, promoting investment attraction in industrial parks and clusters, focusing on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, clearing land for key projects, collecting state budget; establishing working groups with localities and investors to listen and propose solutions to remove difficulties in project implementation; strengthening propaganda work, creating consensus; focusing on implementing the construction of transport infrastructure, electricity, digital infrastructure, promoting the implementation of e-commerce...

In his concluding remarks, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Standing Committee members, the Provincial Party Executive Committee members, and the leaders of departments, branches, and localities to continue to study, propose, and advise on specific solutions to remove bottlenecks in implementing economic growth targets according to each content and task, based on the actual situation; work directly with localities and investors to consider removing difficulties and obstacles, and report progress promptly.

He requested tax, statistics, finance agencies, Industrial Park Management Boards, etc. to advise more actively, report progress and results every day so that the province can have flexible, appropriate and effective solutions to speed up the implementation of industrial parks, clusters and urban areas to attract investment; urgently complete key projects of the province, especially compensation and site clearance, disbursement of public investment capital, etc.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that inspection committees at all levels and agencies strengthen inspection, supervision, and performance of public duties, and evaluate the capacity of cadres and party members based on clear assignment of people, responsibilities, progress, and results.
