With the message "Each citizen is a living milestone protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands", on the morning of November 23, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Museum-Library (Ho Chi Minh City) organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "The Fatherland seen from the sea" to contribute to propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, raising awareness of responsibility to build and protect the Fatherland.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that Vietnam's seas and islands are sacred territory of the Fatherland, so the exhibition is an opportunity to look back on the historical journey associated with the homeland's seas and islands, while at the same time arousing pride and awareness of preserving and protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands.
The exhibition will run from now until the end of December 2025, introducing 140 documents, images, 34 artifacts and 5 book models with 2,000 selected books, through which the public will better understand the country's sovereignty.

It includes 3 main contents, part 1 is called Hoang Sa-Truong Sa - the long-standing territory; part 2 recreates the image of law enforcement forces at sea; part 3 has the theme of the East Sea - future aspirations.
In addition, the Museum-Library built an experience and exchange space with the theme "The sea and islands in my heart." Here, visitors and students can write letters to marine soldiers.
Bui Minh Quan, a student at Thang Nhat Secondary School (Rach Dua Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "The practical knowledge gained at the exhibition has helped me better understand the situation of the sea and islands, thereby arousing national pride, a sense of responsibility and respect towards the soldiers who are protecting the sea and islands of the Fatherland."
Within the framework of the exhibition, the Naval Region 2 Command organized a thematic talk on the situation in the East Sea, the results of the struggle to protect sovereignty over seas and islands, helping visitors and students understand the silent efforts of Navy soldiers; providing general information about the current seas and islands, the results of protecting sovereignty in 2025 and the direction and tasks in the coming time./.
