The final match of the tournament took place on the evening of December 25 at Rach Mieu Stadium, and was a match between Thanh Tu and Le Thanh Tien. Both were not highly rated from the beginning of the tournament, but the more they played, the more confident they became in each move to reach the final match.

The fact that big names like Phuong Vinh, Quyet Chien, The Vinh, Duc Minh, Quoc Ho... all fell out makes the championship opportunity even more open for Thanh Tu and Thanh Tien.

In the first round of the match, Thanh Tu scored 11 points to lead 11-3. The 28-year-old player continued to score 6 points to create a gap of 25-13 after the first round. In the second round, Thanh Tien scored 10 points to tie the score at 27-27.

From then on, the match became an exciting tug of war. It was not until the 27th turn that Thanh Tu won with a score of 50-43 by a series of 6 points.

The championship helped Thanh Tu receive 100 million VND in prize money, a cup, medals and a competition place worth more than 50 million VND. He also won the "Best Game" secondary prize worth 5 million VND.

"I was lucky to win the title," Thanh Tu said after winning the title. "The tournament gathered many top players from Vietnam and abroad, but they were not in good form, so I took advantage of the opportunity. This is a reward for my tireless training efforts in the past time, and a motivation for me in my plans for next year."
