Tighten monitoring and timely detection of cases

According to information from the Phu Yen Provincial Center for Disease Control, 13 cases of dengue fever (DF) were recorded in the province last week. The Center stated: The dengue fever epidemic situation is temporarily stable in localities. The number of dengue fever cases is showing signs of increasing over the weeks, as the epidemic cycle begins (from May to November). Therefore, localities need to tighten surveillance, detect cases promptly, and prevent the disease from breaking out and spreading. Some localities are at high risk: Song Cau town, Tay Hoa district and Dong Hoa town.

As of June 1, Phu Yen province recorded 416 cases of dengue fever, down 49.5% compared to the same period in 2024; the number of outbreaks recorded was 16, down 25 outbreaks compared to the same period last year. The outbreaks were handled promptly, in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the measles epidemic, specialized agencies continue to record cases of suspected measles rash fever hospitalized for treatment at hospitals. The Phu Yen Provincial Center for Disease Control continues to collect samples and send them to the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang for testing. Currently, 193 cases have had test results, of which 168 cases were positive and 25 cases were negative. The Center has deployed 2 measles vaccination campaigns.
