Facing an opponent who was considered more experienced, Vo Thi Kim Anh in blue actively defended in the first round and launched quite effective counter-attacks, causing difficulties for her opponent.

In the second round, Islem Ferchichi took the initiative to attack and pressure, but Kim Anh, with her height advantage, moved cleverly to avoid most of her opponent's attacks. This helped the Vietnamese athlete gain the advantage in points before the decisive third round.

In the crucial round, Kim Anh continued to actively defend, trying to limit her opponent's attacks. Not only that, the boxer born in 1997 also had an impressive left hand strike to score an important point. In the end, all 5 judges gave Kim Anh a higher score than her opponent. The Vietnamese boxer has officially won a ticket to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Before Kim Anh, Vietnamese Sports had 4 athletes who were sure to go to Paris: Nguyen Thi That (cycling), Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting), Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), and Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting).

In addition, badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh is in the Olympic group. She will compete in many international tournaments in the coming time to hope to be in the seed group for the 2024 Olympics.
