Coming to Hai Phong these days, tourists have the opportunity to visit one of the most ancient and historically valuable works in Vietnam's railway industry, Hai Phong station.

On the morning of May 10, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with Hai Phong City to organize a ceremony to announce Hai Phong station as a tourist destination and launch a high-quality train named "Hoa Phuong Do".

The train evokes history in Hai Phong

The Hoa Phuong Do train consists of 20 brand new carriages, designed with a bright red exterior, inspired by the phoenix flower, the symbol of the port city. The train's interior is a sophisticated combination of modernity and traditional Indochinese style, bringing a sense of elegance and luxury.

Vietnam Railways Corporation has comprehensively renovated and upgraded passenger cars with luxurious interiors and modern amenities such as semi-automatic doors, LED screens, wifi, and typical images of the port city.

Notably, this is the first time the railway industry has put into operation a 34-seat VIP carriage, with an Indochinese-style interior. The 56-seat carriage is equipped with new-generation seats that can rotate 180 degrees, so passengers no longer have to worry about sitting in the opposite direction when the train is running. All carriages are equipped with spacious hand-washing areas and modern toilets.

Built in 1902, Hai Phong Station is one of the oldest and most historically valuable railway stations. On October 21, 1946, the train departing from here brought President Ho Chi Minh back to Hanoi after attending the Fontainebleau Conference in France. October 21 has become the Traditional Day of Vietnam Railways.
