More than 3 thousand engineers and workers are still working on the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway project site during the holidays.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan, Deputy General Director of Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway Joint Stock Company, shared that with the spirit of working "throughout holidays and Tet", during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, construction units mobilized more than 3,000 personnel and 1,291 machines and equipment to simultaneously carry out construction of roadbed excavation, overpasses, tunnels through mountains and drainage culverts...

In category Dong Khe road tunnel, after completing the excavation and lowering stage, workers are focusing on installing formwork for pouring concrete for the tunnel lining, constructing drainage ditches and electrical systems.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, the shift leader of the Dong Khe tunnel project, said that the team still maintained an urgent working pace during the holidays because the workload ahead is still very large and we are striving to complete the construction progress ahead of the Dong Khe road tunnel construction plan.

Passing through the two provinces of Lang Son and Cao Bang , the project Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway The total length of the project is 121km, divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 is invested with a length of more than 93.35km, with a roadbed of 17m. The total investment is 14,114 billion VND.

Currently, the contractors have been handed over 93.14/93.35km of construction site by the locality, equal to 99% of the project's construction site.

To date, the construction output of the Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway project has reached VND2,409/10,438 billion (capital 2025), equal to 23% of the plan. Contractors are striving to speed up the construction progress, and open the project phase 1 in December 2025 and are ready to start the project phase 2 on September 2.

Contractors said the challenge was the amount of work that had to be completed in a short period of time (less than 8 months), forcing contractors to recruit additional workers. Meanwhile, attracting drivers and machine operators to work the night shift at the project was not easy, directly affecting the overall progress of the project.

In order to solve the problem of construction human resources for contractors, Deo Ca Group has worked with the Central College of Transport 1 and Central College of Transport 4 to "order" additional human resources for drivers and machine operators from these training facilities for construction units.

With many synchronous solutions implemented, it is expected that the Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway project phase 1 will be completed on schedule, with the target of opening the route in December 2025, aiming to put it into operation in 2026.
