For more than 10 years working as a female union officer at Aleron Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd., Ms. Cao Thi Huong is known as a dedicated and enthusiastic union officer, always striving for the interests of workers, especially female workers. She is not only good at public affairs but also takes care of housework, a shining example for her colleagues to follow.
At work, she and the women's union regularly care for the material and spiritual lives and ensure the rights of union members and workers. She proactively organizes propaganda programs on reproductive health, child rearing and family happiness, and at the same time checks the implementation of female labor regimes such as maternity leave and post-natal care leave, ensuring "no rights of female workers are violated". In addition to women's union work, she also has many initiatives to improve labor productivity, contributing to increasing the company's total production bonus from 3.6 to 4.2 billion VND/year.
Ms. Huong said: “To complete the women's work well and take care of the family, I always put myself in the position of female workers, listen to their thoughts, and arrange reasonable time between work and family care. I believe that women who are both good at national affairs and good at housework will contribute to building a civilized and happy working environment.”
Recognizing the importance of female workers to family and society, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has directed trade unions at all levels to widely implement the movement "Good at public work, good at housework", associated with the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era". In order for the movement to spread more and more, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized many programs, forums, competitions and invited psychological experts to share and advise on communication and behavioral skills, attracting union members to participate; at the same time, encouraging female workers to actively study to improve their professional qualifications, skills, foreign languages, information technology, understanding of the law, exercising their rights and protecting their legitimate interests. In addition, trade unions at all levels have organized the movement "Good workers, creative workers" to encourage female workers to promote their capacity and initiative at work, improving productivity and labor quality. From this movement, many female workers and individuals have become advanced examples in various fields and professions.
In the administrative sector, many female cadres and civil servants are always dedicated and enthusiastic about their work, striving to self-study, self-train, and perform well the duties of cadres and civil servants "Loyal, creative, dedicated, exemplary". Many women are promoted to leadership and management positions in agencies, units, party organizations, governments, political and social organizations. In the fields of management, operation, production and business, women always promote their professional capacity, dynamism and creativity in leadership and operation, closely following market needs, building corporate brands, ensuring jobs and stable income for workers. In the education sector, the content of "good at state affairs" is concretized by "good at school affairs", associated with the "Two Goods" movement and the campaign "Every teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity". Thanks to the tireless dedication of the female teachers, Thanh Hoa always has many students winning national and international prizes, many of whom are valedictorians in university entrance exams. In the health sector, the female staff promote the spirit of "A good doctor is like a mother", devotedly caring for and treating the people. Many of them have been awarded the title of excellent female doctor, participating in scientific research that brings many practical results in their profession. Typical examples are Master, Doctor Doan Thi Bich, Head of the Department of Neurology - Stroke, Provincial General Hospital with the topic "Current status of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors on reproductive health of high school students in Thanh Hoa province"; Master, Doctor Nguyen Thi Trang, Thanh Hoa Oncology Hospital with the topic "Treatment of medical waste by biotechnology"...
In addition to striving to complete professional tasks excellently, each female employee is deeply aware that "Doing housework" is a noble quality of Vietnamese women, because it is also a requirement, a condition and a basis for women to have a happy family. Promoting that good tradition, in the family, they are good managers, talented organizers, working and studying, raising children, and managing the house; encouraging their husbands to shoulder the housework, helping them have conditions to study and work. Some women have difficult circumstances but all strive to become shining examples in their fields of work.
According to reports from trade unions at all levels, every year over 94% of women achieve the title of “Good at public work, good at housework”. The above results show that the motto “Good at public work, good at housework” has become a driving force for female workers to promote their intelligence, work creatively, build family happiness and spread the image of Vietnamese women in the new era, contributing to building a civilized and prosperous homeland Thanh Hoa .
