By school, this year at Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the subject with the highest competition ratio is Russian (1/15.6); the subject with the lowest competition ratio is French (1/1.26). The competition ratios for Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology range from 2 to nearly 4.
Chu Van An High School for the Gifted has a very high competition rate after Chinese, with an average of nearly 1 in 20 students applying for admission. Computer Science and Literature also have a competition rate of over 10. Meanwhile, classes such as Korean, French, and Geography have low competition rates, with the French class having a competition rate of 1/1.49.
