Active school for Vietnamese children
May 15, 1941 is forever a milestone, a mark of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team. From the first 5 team members in the early days of its establishment, up to now, the whole country has had more than 15.9 million team members, teenagers, and children operating nationwide, nearly 25,000 teachers as team leaders.
Children participate in many exciting and widespread emulation movements nationwide, from the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" to the programs "Vietnamese children - Study well, practice hard", "Vietnamese youth - Cultivate virtue and talent, lead the future", the campaign "Every week a beautiful story, a good book, a shining example", the playground "Vietnamese children - Reaching out to the world", the Color Festival, "I love science - Young technology talents"; UPU international letter writing or the contest "Creativity among teenagers and children", "Young informatics", "Science journey", the activity "Creative experience recess"; "Experience on digital platform"... From these movements and activities, many examples of children overcoming difficulties, competing to do good deeds; contributing to the development of thinking, creativity, equipping digital skills and international integration have emerged.
With the spirit of “Young people do small things” to educate children to know how to make small plans to create big things, Vietnamese children have built great works such as: Thieu Nien Tien Phong Plastic Factory, Khan Quang Do Hotel, Thong Nhat North-South Train, Kim Dong Heroic Historical Site, Khan Quang Do House for children in difficult circumstances. Promoting the tradition of “Mutual Love”, thousands of children in every neighborhood and village have cared for and shared with their compatriots in more difficult circumstances through small but sincere and loving actions.
It can be said that the humanitarian movements: “Thousands of good deeds”, “Return to the source”, “Silk shirt for grandmother”, “Drinking water, remember the source”, “A pair of friends progressing together”, “Circle of friends”… have contributed to educating children, helping them strive to become good children, good students, good team members, good grandchildren of Uncle Ho. Children have also created and created many models and methods to promote children’s right to participate in children’s own issues such as “Mailbox of What I Want to Say”; “Children’s Council”; “Children’s Parliament” mock session… These are models that promote children’s early participation in political and social activities, nurturing their dreams and ambitions to become useful people for the country in the future.
Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang said that the movements, campaigns and programs of the Young Pioneers are increasingly being deployed extensively with rich contents and forms of activities, having profound educational significance, creating a learning and training environment, contributing to nurturing and forming for young people and children the good qualities of citizens in the new era. The Young Pioneers' activities have strongly spread the flame of love for the homeland and country, igniting in them the dream and aspiration to serve and contribute to building the homeland and the country. Through that, the Young Pioneers organization has discovered, trained and nurtured many excellent, dynamic and enthusiastic Young Pioneers to contribute to the development of the country in the future.
