The coronation moment of the new Miss USA 2024
According to CNN, a total of 51 beauties representing 50 US states and the District of Columbia participated in this year's beauty pageant.
Air Force Lieutenant Marsh represented Colorado, becoming the first U.S. military member to win a national beauty pageant. She is currently studying public policy at the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Harvard University in the United States.
The final competition was held after three nights of preliminary competition. Only 11 beauties were present in the final round, with 10 chosen by the judges and 1 receiving votes from the whole United States.
There were a total of four rounds on the final night, including a body contest, discussion of hot issues (instead of the traditional question and answer round), talent contest, and evening gown performance.
During the discussion round, which covered hot issues of public concern such as terrorism, technology, nutrition and climate change, Ms. Marsh answered questions about "the drug situation in America."
Madison Marsh is currently a second lieutenant in the US Air Force.
In the talent competition, she presented her feelings after receiving her pilot's license at the age of 16.
When asked about her goals if she were to be crowned Miss America 2024, Marsh cited the qualities and accomplishments she developed during her military service as a commitment to learning and leading "with passion."
First runner-up is Miss Ellie Breaux representing Texas.
