Governor: Banking Times is an effective channel for transmitting monetary policy

Celebrating 70 years of development, Banking Times promotes digital transformation, contributing to promoting monetary policy and developing Vietnam's banking industry.

On August 22, in Hanoi , Banking Times organized an event to celebrate Banking Times - The journey of building and development with the theme "We are AI." The event not only marked a proud development journey, but also opened a new turning point in the journey to become an important policy communication channel of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that after more than 70 years of establishment and development, the banking press has continuously developed in scale, quality, and operation methods and has made many practical contributions. The press has accompanied the development of the Vietnamese banking system in particular and the country in general.

The Governor requested that Banking Times needs to have a new identity that is both agile and close to economic and social life, both steadfast in academics, both inspiring and spreading knowledge and keeping up with new trends of the times.

The Governor also requested that Banking Times continue to innovate, be creative, grasp modern media trends and strongly apply digital technology to bring information to readers faster, more diversely, more vividly and contribute to being an effective transmission channel of monetary policy and banking management.

“The Party Standing Committee and the State Bank's Board of Directors expect and require Banking Times to continue to maintain its political stance, Party spirit, and humanity, and be loyal to the Party and State's guidelines, truly reflecting the cause of innovation and development of the country in general and the banking sector in particular,” Governor Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized.

On this occasion, Banking Times launched the English publication “Banking Insights” to expand its international influence.

Mr. Pham Thanh Ha - Deputy Governor of the State Bank suggested that Banking Times should continue to affirm its role as an official information channel, closely following policy and market developments to promptly reflect, orient public opinion, and spread trust; promote digital transformation, innovate journalistic thinking, expand media platforms, and build a team of industry-savvy, sharp, and modern reporters; expand international cooperation, and spread the image of a modern, integrated, and sustainably developing Vietnamese banking industry.

With achievements over the past 70 years, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen - Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times said that each publication of Banking Times is the crystallization of intelligence, tireless efforts and silent sacrifices of generations of leaders/reporters/editors through the ages.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen emphasized that with the guiding principle: "Fast - accurate - valuable information," Banking Times commits to continue to be a reliable source of information, a prestigious forum, contributing to joining hands with the banking industry to create a strong economy and a prosperous society./.
