According to information, the road was cleared from Km1407 on Lo Xo Pass to near Dak Zon Bridge, Dak Plo Commune, Quang Ngai Province. After the temporary clearance, about 30 vehicles stuck on the pass were guided by the Traffic Police to move towards Da Nang City.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Ta Ha, Deputy Head of Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Station, Quang Ngai Province, said that currently on Lo Xo Pass, there are about 35 vehicles of all kinds stuck in the border area between Quang Ngai Province and Da Nang City. "Currently, the authorities are trying to clear the road, with the hope that in the shortest time, the remaining vehicles can move to residential areas to ensure safety and escape the situation of being isolated," Lieutenant Colonel Ha informed.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ha, in recent days, the work to overcome landslides on Lo Xo Pass has been vigorously deployed by the forces. Officers and soldiers of Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Station - Traffic Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police are regularly on duty, coordinating with the local Party Committee and authorities of Dak Plo Commune, Lo Xo Pass SOS Team to supply food, patrol, warn areas at risk of landslides and promptly notify the road management unit to handle, level and open the road.
"However, on October 29, in the Lo Xo Pass area through Dak Plo commune, Quang Ngai province, many new landslides continued to appear at Km1415+300 and Km1415+700, with thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil continuing to cause traffic congestion. Currently, the authorities are focusing on clearing the landslide and mobilizing vehicles to assist. However, due to the large amount of rock and soil that has collapsed and the rugged mountainous terrain, the recovery is very difficult. Therefore, Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Station recommends that people who want to go to Da Nang should not travel on Ho Chi Minh road but travel via National Highway 24 to ensure safety," Lieutenant Colonel Ha advised.

Since October 26, landslides have occurred continuously on Lo Xo Pass in the area bordering Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province, causing serious congestion on the vital road connecting the Central Highlands with the Central region, leaving about 35 vehicles with 50 people stuck for many days on the pass. In the past 2 days, the Traffic Police of Quang Ngai Province, Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Station, Dak Plo Commune Party Committee and Lo Xo Pass SOS Team have made efforts to wade through mud and cross the landslide area to supply food to drivers isolated on the pass.
