An 11-year-old girl saved her younger sister from an out-of-control electric car that crashed into a restaurant in China.

According to Independent, surveillance video on June 2 shows a man standing outside a restaurant, next to an electric car in Henan , China. The electric car suddenly lost control, crashed through the glass door, and headed straight for a toddler girl in the restaurant.

The baby's 11-year-old sister initially backed away, but then rushed to save her.

"The 11-year-old girl saw the car coming and initially tried to run away but realized her sister was still there so she quickly turned back to carry her," the source said.

The driver is believed to have mistakenly pressed the accelerator and brake. The driver has apologized and compensated the restaurant for the damage.
