Thank you letter from Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau on the results of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) assessment in 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of May 6, 2025, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held the Ceremony to announce the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2024. For the first time, Hai Phong city was recognized and evaluated by the business community as a locality among 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City, spoke at the announcement ceremony of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2024.

In the era of national development, the private economy is identified as the most important driving force of the national economy, the "lever for a prosperous Vietnam". The mission of Hai Phong city is to take the lead in the cause of industrialization and modernization; to become a modern international port city, on par with typical Asian cities. More than ever, the City's leaders call on businesses and entrepreneurs to unite, be creative, and be determined to overcome challenges in order to improve competitiveness, master the domestic market and be able to reach out to the regional and international level.
