On the afternoon of August 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the Song Hong Oil and Gas Company (Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation) report on the implementation plan for the cleanup of the Tien Hai C oil and gas project, Dong Quan D, D14 and Dong Hoang structures; some contents of coordination and support during the implementation process. According to the plan of Song Hong Oil and Gas Company, the cleanup works include 10 wells and 4 gas pipelines located in Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts. The cleanup progress is expected to last 430 days, starting from the third quarter of 2023. The work includes: compensation, site clearance, land acquisition and reinforcement, expansion of access roads to Dong Hoang commune wells; propaganda and application for licenses related to dikes, irrigation, and waterway traffic; destruction of wells and collection of works and equipment in the well area; cleaning up gas pipelines.

In order for the construction site clearance to ensure technical safety, not affect the environment and be on schedule, Song Hong Oil and Gas Company proposes that the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, branches, Tien Hai District People's Committee, Thai Tho Commune People's Committee, Thai Thuy District create favorable conditions to support propaganda work, security and order, traffic safety, site clearance, licensing for construction activities on rivers, areas and dike safety corridors, and receiving and handing over the site of the well after completion of clearance.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Song Hong Oil and Gas Company to send the dossier to the Department of Industry and Trade for consideration and consultation so that the Provincial People's Committee can give specific instructions. Assign departments, branches and People's Committees of Tien Hai and Thai Thuy districts to closely coordinate with Song Hong Oil and Gas Company to carry out the steps, procedures and implement on-site clearance of construction items and equipment on schedule. Do a good job of propaganda to create consensus, ensuring the rights of people and businesses. People's Committees of Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts take the lead in carrying out site clearance and land recovery to serve the clearance of oil and gas projects according to plan.
