* At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park , heads of delegations from invited countries and heads of international organizations were introduced to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima that killed 140,000 people, many of whom were children.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida invited the heads of delegations of the invited countries and heads of international organizations to visit the Peace Memorial Museum. Here, the guests were able to see the electronic model of Hiroshima city before and after the bombing; see some pictures of the devastated city as well as artifacts that survived the bombing.

By hosting this year's G7 Summit in Hiroshima, the government of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida wants to affirm its political goal of a world without nuclear weapons. This is also the first time that the city that was bombed by an atomic bomb has hosted the biggest and most important event of the year of the G7. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park was built in the Naka Ward of Hiroshima City (near the epicenter of the explosion), with the hope that the world will be at peace forever.

The Atomic Bomb Dome, which is a World Heritage Site, and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, which depicts the state of Hiroshima at the time of the bombing, are sites that preserve the tragedy of the atomic bombing.

After visiting the Peace Memorial Museum on the campus, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida, along with other leaders, laid wreaths in memory of the victims and signed the guest book.

In a subsequent meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Hiroshima Governor Yuzaki Hidehiko emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation's visit to Hiroshima and laying wreaths at the Peace Memorial is an affirmation of support for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.

* Also on the morning of May 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and heads of delegations of invited countries and heads of international organizations visited Itsukaichi port and the ship "Suiso Frontier" - the world's first liquid hydrogen transport ship.

On board the “Suiso Frontier”, hydrogen is liquefied at extremely low temperatures (minus 253 degrees Celsius), reducing its volume to 1/1,800. This is a step forward in the effort to create a global hydrogen market. To create such a market, a technology that allows large-scale transportation of hydrogen from hydrogen-producing countries to countries with high energy demand is needed.

At the recent G7 Energy Ministers' Meeting, hydrogen was high on the agenda and ministers agreed to the Hydrogen Association's proposal to accelerate the transition. In 2017, Japan launched a basic hydrogen strategy and is leading the world in the hydrogen sector.
