Prime Minister sends congratulatory letter to singer Duc Phuc for winning Intervision 2025

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated singer Duc Phuc on his 'great efforts and outstanding achievements' at the Intervision 2025 music competition.

Upon receiving the news that singer Duc Phuc - Vietnam's representative - had won the championship at the Intervision 2025 international music competition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter.

Duc Phuc has excellently won the championship of the international music competition Intervision 2025 in Russia.

In a letter to singer Duc Phuc and music lovers, the Prime Minister wrote: “We are very pleased to receive the news that singer Duc Phuc - representing Vietnam - has just won the championship at the Intervision 2025 international music competition - a prestigious music event, gathering many of the world's top talents in Moscow, the Russian Federation.”

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister warmly congratulated and commended the great efforts and outstanding achievements of singer Duc Phuc with his powerful voice and eye-catching performance that breathed life into the song Phu Dong Thien Vuong .

The song is inspired by the poem Vietnamese Bamboo , telling the story of the solidarity, indomitable spirit and aspiration to rise of the Vietnamese people.

This achievement is not only a great honor for singer Duc Phuc personally but also a common pride of contemporary music and Vietnamese culture.

Vietnam's first participation in the Intervision 2025 international music competition, which returned after more than 40 years of interruption, conveyed a message of solidarity and friendship as "music overcomes all disagreements to unite peoples around the world".

“We hope and believe that this victory at Intervision 2025 will be a driving force for singer Duc Phuc in particular and the Vietnamese artists in general to continue to promote their talents, constantly create, make positive contributions to the country's music industry and promote Vietnamese culture to the world, while creating a strong source of inspiration for Vietnamese youth to continue to contribute and create, contributing the quintessence of Vietnam to the flow of human civilization,” the Prime Minister's letter wrote.

The Head of Government also wished singer Duc Phuc and the Vietnamese artists good health and energy to devote themselves to serving the public at home and abroad, so that the mark of Vietnam will be loved and engraved in the hearts of audiences around the world.

Surpassing 22 contestants representing 22 other countries, Duc Phuc officially became the champion of the 'Intervision' contest - the 'counter' version of the famous 'Eurovision' brand.

The song brings many Vietnamese influences when on stage the male singer wears a stylized ao dai and traditional conical hat. The song opens with 4 famous verses from the poem Vietnamese Bamboo by poet Nguyen Duy, praising the heroic and proud Vietnamese people through the ages, while emphasizing the strength of solidarity and the desire to rise up.
