At a meeting with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed the importance of the Vietnam-UK strategic partnership and highly appreciated the positive development of the two countries' relations in recent times.
The Prime Minister asked Mr. Tony Blair to continue to pay attention to consulting and supporting Vietnam in development issues, especially energy transition and climate change response.
Mr. Tony Blair reiterated his good impressions of the country and people of Vietnam and agreed to support and provide strategic advice to relevant agencies of Vietnam, thereby contributing to promoting the development of bilateral relations between Vietnam and the UK.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his pleasure at meeting again with US President John Kerry, Special Envoy for Climate, and highly appreciated the important developments in the Vietnam-US relationship, especially US President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam in September 2023 and the two countries' establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership framework for peace, cooperation and development.
The Prime Minister informed Special Envoy John Kerry about Vietnam's efforts in energy transition, especially the Power Plan VIII, green energy strategy, offshore wind power development, and implementation of the project to develop one million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation areas...
Mr. John Kerry affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner of the United States in the Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean regions and agreed that the two countries need to promote the implementation of agreements in the Joint Statement between the two countries in September 2023, including the fields of climate change response and energy transition./.
