The meeting aimed to discuss specific cooperation directions between Shenzhen University and Vietnamese partners to jointly contribute intelligence and efforts to the goal of building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
Speaking at the meeting, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung highly appreciated the support of Shenzhen University as well as Professor Dao Nhat Dao personally in arranging a very effective working program for the delegation of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung to visit and work in Shenzhen in March 2025.
In particular, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung appreciated the comprehensive, in-depth and useful exchanges between the working delegation and the China Special Economic Zone Research Center and the Belt and Road International Cooperation Development Research Institute.
Specifically, the contents are related to: China's views on the relationship between state-owned, foreign and private economies; China's policies on enhancing the participation of the private economy in the foreign direct investment (FDI) value chain; Shenzhen's various policies to improve the business and investment environment; Shenzhen's policies and models for attracting talents; and Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and Free Trade Pilot Zone implement outstanding policies and pilots to promote the development of the private economy.
Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized that Vietnam is aiming to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045.
Accordingly, Vietnam will continue to focus on promoting three strategic breakthroughs, in parallel with accelerating digital transformation, developing science and technology, promoting the role of the most important economic growth driver of the private economic sector, and streamlining and streamlining the apparatus to be effective and efficient with the goal of creating a foundation and momentum to achieve double-digit growth in the new era.

On this occasion, the Consul General also expressed his hope that Professor Dao Nhat Dao and his colleagues in the policy research group of Shenzhen University would increase meetings and exchanges with partners from ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam to consult policies and experiences on improving the investment environment, developing the private economy, new economic models such as free trade zones, high-tech zones, etc.
For his part, Professor Dao Nhat Dao agreed with the proposal of Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung. Accordingly, enhancing the exchange and sharing of experiences between research centers and universities on both sides is extremely important in recommending appropriate policies, contributing to the socio-economic development of each country in the new situation.
Professor Dao Nhat Dao highly appreciated Vietnam's political determination in implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus as well as Vietnam's strong development in recent times, especially the determination to achieve the growth target of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years. She also expressed her belief that the opportunities and potential for cooperation between businesses of both sides in the coming time are enormous.
On this occasion, Professor Dao Nhat Dao also said that she will lead a delegation of Chinese scholars, researchers and businesses to visit, work and conduct field surveys in a number of provinces and cities of Vietnam in mid-April 2025 to discuss issues of mutual interest as well as create field survey opportunities for Chinese high-tech and service enterprises to learn about investment opportunities and win-win cooperation in Vietnam.
The two sides agreed to promote increased exchanges and experience sharing between research centers and universities between the two countries. |
