Construction of the Ba Lai 8 bridge pier, on the Binh Dai district side (T. Thao)
As of May 9, 2025, the Ba Lai 8 Bridge construction project on the provincial coastal road has implemented all three contract packages simultaneously. Specifically, Package No. 01, which involves the construction of the road and small bridges, is currently focusing on excavating organic matter, driving reinforced timber piles, filling the roadbed with sand, and constructing bored piles.
Construction Package No. 02, which involves the construction of the main bridge and access roads, is currently underway, including the construction of the abutments, service roads, service bridges, bored piles, excavation of unsuitable soil, and embankment of the roadbed. The estimated progress is 11%. Construction Package No. 03, which involves the construction of the connecting route, is currently underway, including the excavation of the roadbed.

The Ba Lai 8 bridge construction project on the provincial coastal road commenced on October 2, 2024. The project is divided into three packages. In terms of scale, the Ba Lai 8 bridge itself is 527.6m long, with a balanced cantilever main span and simple girder approach spans, designed for HL.93 load; the bridge width is 22.5m. The approach road to the bridge is 12,372.4m long and designed as a Class III road in a flat area; the road surface is paved with hot asphalt concrete, including 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed traffic.
The project covers an area of approximately 42.6 hectares, including 13.09 hectares of forest land (of which 2.98 hectares are in Ba Tri district and 10.11 hectares are in Binh Dai district). The total investment for the project is 2,255 billion VND, with implementation scheduled from 2023 to 2025.
