According to initial information, on the afternoon of August 1, Tien Giang Provincial Police received information from Binh Duong Provincial Police, requesting support in arresting a suspect related to a murder and robbery case that occurred in Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province, who was on the run towards the Western provinces.

The woman and the motorbike are evidence in the case.

Immediately, the professional units of Tien Giang Provincial Police, Cai Lay Town Police and Chau Thanh District Police coordinated with the Major Crimes Department and the Criminal Police Department to establish working groups to arrest the subject.

Through close monitoring, information exchange, and clear identification of the subject, at 7:00 p.m. on August 1, the Working Group in Diem Hy Commune, Chau Thanh District discovered the subject driving a motorbike on National Highway 1. The task force quickly chased, controlled, and arrested the subject and the woman riding the motorbike.

Initially, the subject declared his name as Nguyen Thanh Thong (born in 2000) and the woman accompanying him was Le Thi My Anh (born in 2006), both residing in Phu An commune, Phu Tan district, An Giang province.

At the police station, the suspect initially admitted to the crime. Tien Giang Provincial Police handed over the suspect and the evidence to Binh Duong Provincial Police for further investigation and handling.
