Tien Giang: Nanny detained for abusing children at spontaneous facility

According to verification results, in recent days, a clip has been circulating on social media recording child abuse at a spontaneous childcare facility in Tan Lap 1 commune. The woman in the clip (later identified as Tuyen), a nanny at this facility, repeatedly hit the face and head of a 2-year-old girl.

At the time of discovering the incident, Tan Lap 1 Commune Police coordinated with professional units of Tien Giang Provincial Police and functional agencies of Tan Phuoc District to invite relevant people to work.

The incident was determined to have occurred on March 31, at a spontaneous daycare facility owned by Mr. NTT (born in 1981, Tuyen's biological father). Upon verification, it was determined that this was an unlicensed, spontaneous daycare facility that was taking care of 4 children, including the girl who was beaten.

The girl beaten in the clip, born in 2023, is the daughter of Ms. D.TK (born in 1994, residing in Dak Nong province, temporarily residing in Tan Lap 1 commune), working as a worker at Long Giang Industrial Park.

On the afternoon of the incident, Ms. K. checked the camera and discovered that the nanny (Tuyen) had beaten the girl, so she took her to the clinic for examination. The examination results showed that the girl had a slight swelling on her head and was in normal health.

During the investigation, Tuyen admitted to all of her actions. According to the nanny's testimony, when the incident happened, she was lying down looking at her phone and was momentarily angry, so she hit the girl.

From the above incident, Tien Giang Provincial Police advise people not to send their children to spontaneous, unreliable childcare facilities that have not been licensed by the authorities. When people discover signs of child abuse, they should immediately report it to the authorities so that timely measures can be taken to prevent violations of the law.
