On the morning of April 23, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province held a ceremony to receive funding to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Son Ha, Son Tay and Tra Bong districts, supported by the Green Leaf Fund and Dong Cao Pagoda ( Thai Binh ).
Attending the fund receiving ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan.
On the side of the supporting unit, there was Mr. Le Thai Thanh - Vice President of Green Leaf Fund and representative of the Fund in the Central region.

At the fund receiving ceremony, representatives of the Green Leaf Fund presented a symbolic total of VND12 billion to localities implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Specifically, Tra Bong district received VND9.5 billion, Son Tay district received VND1 billion and Son Ha district received VND1.5 billion.
Speaking at the reception of the support fund, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van thanked the Green Leaf Fund for its attention, companionship and sharing for the poor in Quang Ngai province. The contribution of the Green Leaf Fund will help the province complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor this year.

Provincial Party Secretary Bui Thi Quynh Van also said that the Green Leaf Fund has accompanied the province in implementing social security programs in the province for the past 2 years. In particular, the unit has taken care of and supported all Vietnamese Heroic Mothers still living in the province by providing monthly financial support. This financial support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor in the province is also of great significance as the whole country is organizing activities to honor families of policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Implementing the Party and State's policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor, Quang Ngai province has devoted a large amount of resources to this policy. To date, the province has eliminated more than 4,000 temporary and dilapidated houses. Currently, there are more than 6,000 houses that need to be repaired or rebuilt.

The province strives to complete the work of removing temporary and dilapidated houses in 12/13 districts, towns and cities by June 30. Tra Bong district has been extended to August 30, because it involves relocating households out of areas at risk of landslides.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Green Leaf Fund to recognize the unit's contribution to the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
