Continue to check and handle violations of information on the network

On the afternoon of May 7, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen City, the Police of Son Cam Commune, and the People's Committee of Son Cam Commune to draw up an administrative violation record for a case of false information about the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of Thai Nguyen province on the social network Facebook.

The citizen whose record was made is Pham Hoai Nam, born in 1989, residing in Dong Xe hamlet, Son Cam commune.

Mr. Pham Hoai Nam (in black shirt) signed the violation report.

According to the explanation of citizen Pham Hoai Nam, when seeing the content of the post on the page of Thai Nguyen Province's Electronic Information Portal with the content "Thai Nguyen is one of the first 3 localities to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", Nam used his personal Facebook account "Hoai Nam" to comment with the content " My house still leaks every time it rains heavily. I don't know when the government will help me eliminate it" (with a smiley face icon).

Mr. Nam said he has a solid 2-storey house, his family has a stable income, and only commented for the purpose of "joking".

After being invited to work by Son Cam Commune Police, Mr. Nam realized that posting such comments was wrong; removed that content and proactively posted comments with apology and correction on the Thai Nguyen Provincial Electronic Information Portal page; at the same time, committed not to violate regulations on information on social networks.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Dai Tu district also issued a violation report against Mr. Ly Van Luan, born in 1985, residing in Phu Xuyen commune, for using the account "Ly Van Luan" to comment: "Just delete it on paper, but my house is about to collapse" under the article on the page of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Electronic Information Portal.
