In particular, the movement has permeated and spread strongly in professional activities and Association activities over the past year.
1. Immediately after the emulation movement was launched, the Journalists' Associations at all levels promptly concretized and deployed it to journalists, members of press agencies, and Journalists' Associations at all levels. The content of the emulation movement is consistent with the practical situation of performing the tasks of the governing bodies, press agencies, and Journalists' Associations at all levels from the central to local levels... The movement has received positive and widespread response from the press community nationwide, meeting the practical needs of journalistic life in general and the working activities of journalists in particular.
Accordingly, many press agencies and Journalists Associations at all levels have signed emulation agreements; continuously disseminated and thoroughly grasped the content and significance of the Movement and the Criteria to journalists, members and workers; encouraged all agencies to enthusiastically respond; developed plans and organized the implementation of the Movement, focusing on including the content of the Criteria in the agency's operating regulations and working procedures, promoting cultural factors in the creation of press works, in evaluating the quality of works, integrating the content of the Criteria into agency activities, mid-term and final conferences; included the Criteria in the emulation and reward evaluation standards; increased the inclusion of press culture content in association activities, conferences, seminars, training, political, ethical, professional, technical training... and in each press product.

Last year's highlights were the good and creative ways of the Association at all levels, press agencies, journalists, and members in implementing the emulation movement. Many units were active, proactive, and creative in implementing the emulation movement such as: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang City Journalists Association; Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Kon Tum , Tra Vinh, Vinh Long Provincial Journalists Association; People's Army Newspaper Journalists Association, Today's Rural Newspaper Journalists Association, Party Building Magazine Journalists Association, Inspection Magazine, etc.
In particular, the Bac Giang Provincial Journalists Association organized a press conference with the theme "Building a cultural press agency and cultural journalists" attracting the participation and exchange of many press agencies inside and outside the locality, and press management agencies of the province.
This is one of the forms to concretize the launching of the movement " Building a cultural environment in press agencies" contributing to multiplying progressive and humane values in the press activities of Bac Giang in particular and journalists in the Northern provinces in general. The Associations have effective and creative ways of doing things such as the Voice of Vietnam , the Central Agency of the Association, the People's Army Newspaper, the Vietnam News Agency, the Ministry of Information and Communications.
In particular, the People's Army Newspaper Association organized an emulation movement with practical and profound themes: "Responsibility, discipline, professionalism and humanity" , organized a discussion on "Culture of soldier journalists", and professional activities on "Culture of journalism and responsibility of journalists", "Ethics of journalists".
The Central Association of Journalists organized a signing ceremony of the emulation covenant, organized a discussion on "Culture of journalists" to deepen the content and meaning of the movement; the Government Electronic Newspaper Journalists Association advised the Party Committee and the Editorial Board to issue a Plan for the period 2022-2025 with the theme "Standards - professionalism - honesty - civilization; the Today's Rural Newspaper Association launched an emulation movement and implemented the Rules of 5 yes - 5 no...".
2. It can be seen that, along with continuing to implement the 10 regulations on professional ethics and rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists, the implementation of the movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies" at present and in the coming time is a way to rectify and tighten discipline, contributing to helping each press agency and journalist continue to raise their sense of responsibility in the "mission of a writer" . Through the implementation of the emulation movement, many press agencies and all levels of the Association have had positive changes in both awareness and action.
Assessing one year of implementing this movement, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association commented: “This movement has truly entered the lives and working activities of journalists. The phenomenon of journalists having uncivilized behavior in their working activities has been overcome and limited. In particular, the cultural content in journalistic works has been significantly improved. Many press agencies have opened additional columns and publications on culture…”.
In addition, this movement is also a way to "revive" activities, helping most press agencies identify outstanding and urgent issues to focus on solving such as: rectifying discipline, work discipline, professional ethics, promptly correcting inappropriate statements on social networks by a very few journalists. Party committees and heads of press agencies continue to promote leadership and direction in the development and implementation of internal rules and regulations of press agencies, building a positive, dynamic and creative working environment. Many Associations also coordinate with the Editorial Board to produce a number of articles, promote the movement, including building a digital cultural environment and maintaining the implementation of emulation movements...
3. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once advised journalists to be honest, considering it an ethical standard for journalists. Cultivating professional ethics must therefore be a continuous task for journalists, a regular task that must be focused on by all levels of the Journalists Association. Imbued with his teachings, maintaining professional ethics and journalistic culture must continue to be a constant, substantive competitive spirit in the hearts of every journalist, at every press agency today.
In addition, besides the achieved results, the movement to build a cultural environment in press agencies and the culture of journalists at all levels of the Association still has some shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome soon. The emulation movement has been launched, but at some levels of the Association, the implementation has not been timely, still formal, and the movement has not been realized in the activities of the unit...
Therefore, in the coming time, in order for the movement to spread more strongly and have a more substantial impact on the working activities of each press agency and each journalist, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that it is important for each journalist to cultivate their own qualities and professional ethics. Training for a journalist is a continuous, non-stop process. Therefore, the mindset of a journalist is to both work and study, constantly cultivate and train themselves to always keep a bright mind and produce truly valuable journalistic works with high cultural content for readers.
The Vietnam Journalists Association has developed and issued 12 criteria for “Cultural press agencies and culture of Vietnamese journalists” ; at the same time, it has issued a document guiding how to implement this movement. However, the more important and necessary thing is that press agencies and each journalist must voluntarily participate in this movement in a practical and effective way. Absolutely avoid the phenomenon of “beating the drum and dropping the stick”, “launching ” but not “moving” , it must really require a high level of self-awareness from press agencies as well as journalists.
In particular, leaders of press agencies must realize that this is an important task and responsibility, considering the building of a cultural environment in press agencies as an important task to properly implement the requirements of the movement. “It must be emphasized that this is a long-term movement, not just launched in a short time, but must become a regular, long-term lifestyle for press agencies, focusing on building a cultural press agency and cultured journalists. How can press agencies fulfill the role and mission of revolutionary journalism in preserving, building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity? ” – journalist Nguyen Duc Loi affirmed.
