Finding breakthrough and feasible solutions to exploit the potential and strengths of the new Lam Dong

On the morning of June 10, in Da Lat City (Lam Dong), a workshop was held on the orientation of socio-economic development of Lam Dong province for the period 2026 - 2030 and the following years.

The workshop was jointly organized by the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong to prepare for the drafting of documents for the new Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The workshop was chaired by comrades: Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Luu Van Trung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Council; Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; Pham Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

Attending the workshop on behalf of Dak Nong province were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Xuan Truong; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh; leaders of departments, branches and many experts and scientists.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee emphasized: implementing Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the Central Committee, the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Dak Nong will merge into the new Lam Dong province.

With a natural area of ​​24,233km²; a population of nearly 3.9 million people, and an estimated GRDP of 320,000 billion VND, Lam Dong province will become the largest locality in the country.

“This is a golden opportunity to form a new growth pole, with a large enough scale, strong enough driving force and wide enough influence, contributing to leading the green economic trend and sustainable development for the Central Highlands and the whole country,” affirmed comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam.

The Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee said that the workshop is a forum for experts, scientists, and managers to look straight at the truth, assess the current situation, share experiences, propose specific directions and solutions to contribute their intelligence and propose solutions for the development of Lam Dong province in the new development stage.

The workshop will be the basis for the new Lam Dong province to refer to, build and issue appropriate policies, helping to orient the goal of "Building and comprehensively developing Lam Dong province, taking stability as the foundation for development; taking economic development as the central task; taking happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for; by 2030, Lam Dong province will become a fairly developed province with high average income, in line with the orientation and vision for national development".

The workshop heard in-depth presentations from leading experts such as: socio-economic development orientation of Lam Dong province after the merger; marine economic development; promoting innovation ecosystem; developing cultural industry; applying high technology in agriculture; urban development, infrastructure, tourism, etc.

Vietnam's leading scientists, intellectuals, and experts in the fields of economics, science, and strategy have provided perspectives and proposed solutions for the new Lam Dong province to maximize the potential and advantages of a locality with both mountains and sea, and many favorable conditions for development.

The workshop proposed breakthrough, feasible tasks and solutions that are suitable to the actual situation, maximizing the potential and strengths of the locality in a sustainable and effective manner.
