
The accident occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on November 4 on National Highway 20, passing Bao Loc Pass, in Da Huoai 2 Commune ( Lam Dong ).
At that time, a container truck with license plate 50H: 455.80 driven by Vo Van Thanh was traveling on National Highway 20 from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City.

When reaching Bao Loc pass at Km99, the car lost its brakes and drifted freely for about 30m. Then, it crossed over to the left lane and crashed head-on into a truck with license plate 49C: 170.25 driven by Cao Huu Chien (26 years old, residing in Gia Lai province) traveling in the opposite direction going up Bao Loc pass.
The head-on collision caused the cabins of both vehicles to be crushed and deformed, trapping Mr. Cao Huu Chien inside the cabin. A crane traveling behind the truck promptly discovered the accident and, together with passersby, broke down the door to rescue the trapped truck driver.

After more than 15 minutes of effort, everyone was able to get the truck driver out safely. Fortunately, both truck drivers and the container were slightly injured and were taken to Da Huoai Medical Center for a health check.
The accident caused the container to overturn onto the road, blocking both directions of traffic on Bao Loc Pass. The accident caused traffic on Bao Loc Pass to be partially congested, with vehicles lining up in both directions. Many cranes were mobilized to clear the accident scene.
After the accident, the Traffic Police force of Madaguoi Station under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Police, Da Huoai 2 Commune Police were present to regulate and direct traffic. At the same time, they examined the scene to serve the investigation and clarify the cause of the accident.
