At kilometer 12 on this highway, a car with license plate 281.XX was trapped due to a landslide. Immediately, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police dispatched forces and vehicles to assist in pulling the car out of the dangerous area and coordinated with functional units to clear the debris and regulate traffic.
At the intersection on National Highway 1A, the traffic police of Hue City Police also organized traffic diversion to prevent vehicles from entering the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway.
In Phu Loc commune, the section of National Highway 1A at kilometer 867, passing through Cao Doi Xa village, was also flooded with more than 40cm of water early this morning (October 27). Immediately, the Phu Loc commune police organized traffic control, guided vehicles to travel safely, and warned the people.

Earlier, on the evening of October 26th, the Phu Ho Commune Police received a report from residents about an elderly woman, NTB (born in 1956, residing in Le Xa village), whose condition had worsened, but she could not be taken to the hospital due to flooding. Immediately, the commune police dispatched personnel and specialized equipment to her home and transported her to the Phu Ho Commune Health Station - Facility 3.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Binh, Head of Phu Ho Commune Police, said that although she was immediately taken to the hospital, due to her advanced age and frail health, Mrs. NTB did not survive. The commune police also assisted in bringing her body back to her family for burial according to local customs.
“In recent days, the flood situation in the locality has been complicated, so 197 households/542 people who were evacuated earlier are still temporarily staying in safe locations and have not returned home. Last night, we deployed forces to assist an additional 3 households/11 people in flood-prone areas to move to shelters,” Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Binh shared.
Currently, the Phu Ho commune police force is continuing to monitor the flood situation 24/7 and is manning a hotline to provide assistance to residents when needed.

According to the Hue City Police, given the current complex flood situation, the city police have prepared and mobilized approximately 2,000 police officers and soldiers from various units and localities, 408 officers and soldiers from the City Police's Reserve Mobile Police Battalion, and 2,500 members of the local security and order protection force to closely monitor the area and ensure the safety of the people.
Local police forces have prepared 27 fire trucks, rescue vehicles, 200 high-clearance vehicles, 231 canoes and rubber boats, 217 generators, 202 hand saws, along with thousands of life jackets, lifebuoys, and rafts… ready to operate and use in responding to situations and incidents, ensuring smooth communication to carry out their duties.
To ensure traffic safety and support rescue operations, the Hue City Police Traffic Police have established permanent checkpoints, barriers, and warning signs on all deeply flooded roads, areas with strong currents, and points at risk of landslides, absolutely prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through. On major routes, traffic police officers are stationed to regulate and guide traffic safely, avoiding deep ravines and dangerous areas, while also urgently coordinating the clearing of fallen trees and obstacles to maintain smooth traffic flow for emergency vehicles.
