| Traffic police rescue cars stuck in landslides on La Son - Tuy Loan highway |
At km12 on this highway, a car with license plate 281.XX was stuck due to a landslide. Immediately, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police sent forces and vehicles to help pull the car out of the danger zone and coordinate with functional units to clear the rocks and soil, and regulate traffic.
At the intersection on National Highway 1A, the Traffic Police of Hue City also organized traffic flow to prevent vehicles from entering the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway.
In Phu Loc commune, the section of km867 of National Highway 1A through Cao Doi Xa village was flooded more than 40cm early this morning (October 27). Immediately, Phu Loc commune police organized traffic regulation, guided vehicles to move safely as well as warned the people.

Previously, on the evening of October 26, Phu Ho Commune Police received a report from the people about the case of Mrs. NTB (born in 1956, residing in Le Xa village) whose condition had worsened, but she could not be taken to the emergency room due to flooding. Immediately, the commune police force sent people and specialized vehicles to the family's house and took the old woman to Phu Ho Commune Health Station - Facility 3.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Binh, Chief of Phu Ho Commune Police, said that although Mrs. NTB was taken to the emergency room immediately, she did not survive due to her old age and poor health. Commune police also assisted in bringing her body back to her family for burial according to local customs.
“In recent days, the flood situation in the locality has been complicated, so 197 households/542 people who were previously evacuated are still temporarily staying at safe locations and have not returned home. Last night, we dispatched forces to support 3 more households/11 people in flood-prone areas to move to shelters,” Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Binh shared.
Currently, the Phu Ho Commune Police force is continuing to monitor the flood situation 24/7 and operating a hotline to support people when necessary.

According to Hue City Police, in the face of the current complicated flood situation, the City Police have prepared and mobilized about 2,000 police officers and soldiers from units and localities, 408 officers and soldiers from the City Police's reserve Mobile Police Battalion and 2,500 members of the security and order protection force at the grassroots level to stay close to the area to protect people's safety.
The grassroots police force has prepared 27 fire trucks, rescue vehicles, 200 high-chassis cars, 231 canoes, rubber boats, 217 generators, 202 hand-held saws, and thousands of life jackets, lifebuoys, rafts, etc. to be ready to operate and use to respond to situations and incidents, ensuring smooth communication to carry out tasks.
To ensure traffic safety and serve the rescue work, the Traffic Police force of Hue City Police has set up hard checkpoints, barriers and warning signs at all deeply flooded roads, areas with fast-flowing water and points at risk of landslides, absolutely not allowing people and vehicles to pass. On the main routes, the Traffic Police force sticks to the road, regulates and guides vehicles to move safely, avoid deep and dangerous ravines, and at the same time coordinates urgently to cut down fallen trees and clear obstacles to keep the traffic clear for vehicles performing emergency tasks.
