Australia has just released a “Final Report on Biosafety Requirements for Fresh Grapefruit Imported from Vietnam” which confirms that grapefruit is eligible for import into Australia. According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment , the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has just officially issued the “Final Report on Biosecurity Requirements for Fresh Grapefruit Imported from Vietnam”. This report marks an important step forward in the years-long negotiation process between the two sides.

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), according to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, in the first half of April 2025, the export turnover of pangasius to China reached 21 million USD, up 2% over the same period last year. Accumulated to April 15, 2025, pangasius exports to the Chinese market reached 126 million USD, down 4% over the same period in 2024. In the first quarter of 2025, China continued to be Vietnam's largest pangasius consumer market, accounting for 23% of the total pangasius export value.
In the first quarter of 2025, exports of this item to China reached 62 million USD, down 5% compared to the same period in 2024, accounting for 59% of the total export value of pangasius to China.

In a regional trend analysis report released the same day, APEC warned that trade growth will slow sharply across the bloc due to a decline in external demand, especially in manufacturing and consumer goods, and that trade in services will be affected by uncertainties related to goods distribution measures. APEC forecasts that regional exports will grow by only 0.4% this year, much lower than last year's 5.7% increase, while regional economic growth will only reach about 2.6%, lower than the previous forecast of 3.3%.
