Good news about the prospect of removing obstacles and difficulties for real estate projects

On the afternoon of February 16, Mr. Le Hoang Chau, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA), announced good news to real estate businesses in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, departments and branches committed to focus on removing obstacles and difficulties for real estate projects under the city's jurisdiction.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 15, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, chaired a meeting with relevant departments, leaders of HoREA and a number of businesses to remove difficulties and obstacles at 116 real estate projects in Ho Chi Minh City.

After listening to the reports, proposals and recommendations of HoREA and real estate businesses, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong assigned the Department of Construction to urgently coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Planning and Architecture and related units to discuss and agree with HoREA, report to the City People's Committee to direct and assign units responsible for receiving and resolving groups of files with the same problems according to their functions and tasks before February 24, 2023.

Le Thanh's social housing project receives attention to remove difficulties

Next, the relevant departments and branches should promptly and proactively review and resolve the City's instructions regarding HoREA's recommendations. In particular, focus on handling difficulties within the authority of the unit. For difficulties and problems within the authority of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee or central ministries and branches, promptly advise the City People's Committee on solutions. At the same time, have a plan and regularly discuss and work with real estate businesses with stuck projects to guide implementation.

For project groups with problems related to the Government Inspectorate and audit, the City People's Committee assigned relevant units to urgently monitor, urge and update progress for HoREA and real estate businesses.

For project groups with problems related to procedures for approving project investment policies according to the Investment Law (new project groups), the Department of Planning and Investment urgently studies and accepts comments from meeting participants, promptly studies and proposes to the City to resolve the problems within February.

Next, Mr. Cuong assigned the Department of Construction to urgently receive comments at the meeting, review and research to advise the City People's Committee to resolve problems related to the social housing topic, in order to attract investment resources, create housing funds, meet the demand for social housing in the city, and complete before February 24.

The Department of Construction was also assigned to coordinate with departments, branches, and the People's Committee of Binh Chanh district to urgently resolve investment and construction procedures to meet the conditions to start the Le Thanh - Tan Kien social housing project on the occasion of April 30.
