VNG has just been honored in the category "Leading Tech Firm in Vietnam 2024" voted by World Business Outlook magazine, thanks to impressive business results in 2023.
According to the Organizing Committee, this category evaluates nominated businesses based on important criteria such as: business results, creativity, market expansion, business development and strategic relationships. In addition to business results, VNG is also considered one of the few businesses leading the technology wave in Vietnam, owning widespread technology products and ecosystems, deeply integrated into the daily lives of tens of millions of Vietnamese people.
In 2023, VNG's net revenue will reach VND 8,605 billion, an increase of 10% compared to 2022. In particular, the Company's revenue from providing services to foreign markets will reach VND 1,744 billion, an increase of 26% compared to 2022. VNG is also in the Top 10 Most Anticipated Asian Companies as assessed by Nikkei Asia.
With more than 100 game titles released in 20 global markets, VNGGames is currently the leading game publisher and developer in Vietnam. Total booking 2023 will reach 7,930 billion VND (up 20% compared to 2022), of which 26% will come from foreign markets.
By the end of 2023, Zalo will have 75.8 million monthly active users (MAU) with 1.8 billion messages sent every day. Public administrative services on the Zalo OA platform are used by more than 10,000 government agencies to connect with people.
In December 2023, Zalo introduced a 7 billion parameter model that was evaluated to be superior to GPT-3.5 when performing tasks in Vietnamese. AI Avatar - the first application of GenAI developed by Zalo attracted 6.8 million users in 2023.
Zalopay – VNG’s e-payment division has transformed from a pure e-wallet to an open payment application, diversifying many payment methods and financial services. This is also the only e-wallet in Vietnam to be included in the Top 200 global fintechs voted by the American television channel CNBC.
In the field of digital transformation, VNG Digital Business is currently providing solutions and services on security, AI, and Cloud & SaaS to more than 1,000 business partners, actively contributing to national digital transformation.
In early June 2024, GreenNode, the AI Cloud division of VNG Digital Business, opened an AI Cloud data center in Bangkok, becoming the first large-scale AI Cloud service provider in Southeast Asia after just under 6 months of implementation. This project has simultaneously achieved its goals in terms of deployment speed and commercialization capability, with tens of millions of USD in revenue from international customers.
With the mission of developing Technology and People, VNG always focuses on community activities for sustainable development. UpRace - the first community running project in Vietnam has effectively connected 3 parties: businesses, social organizations and the running community. After 6 years of organization, VNG has joined more than 100 sponsoring businesses and more than 632,000 runners to accumulate 23.4 million km, contributing more than 31 billion VND to beneficiary social organizations (ASVDO, Vu A Dinh, Green Viet, ...).
In early September 2024, with the complicated developments of the flood situation in the North, Zalo updated a series of new features such as Zalo SOS (Request for Support) to help people access emergency relief resources. Meanwhile, Zalopay became a donation channel accompanying Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper to support people in the North to overcome difficulties after storms and floods. As of September 16, the amount of donations recorded on the Zalopay application reached more than 2.7 billion VND with more than 32,000 donations.
The World Business Outlook Awards are an international award organized by World Business Outlook magazine since 2020, honoring businesses with outstanding achievements in the fields of business and finance.
Previously, VNG was honored at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2024 (Bangkok, Thailand) in two categories: “AI – Technology” and “Cloud – Technology”. VNG also received the “Inspirational Brand Award” at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards 2023 (APEA 2023).
