(CT) - According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, since the beginning of the year, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has collected the database (GPS) of 546 agricultural, forestry and fishery production and trading establishments in the city; issued electronic traceability codes (QR Code) to 321 agricultural, forestry and fishery production and trading entities, with 621 products; guided and supported 119 units and 173 products to register on the "chonongsancantho" information portal. At the same time, deployed applications for managing growing areas and electronic logging (VNPT Green), applications to support identification of plant pests and technical advice on production (Mobi Agri), and managed rice production using Ricemore software. Instructing and using FaceFarm and WACA software for cooperatives and building a pilot cooperative on digital transformation to implement the project "Sustainable development of one million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030".

In the coming period, the city's Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to promote the development of high-tech agriculture, smart agriculture, circular agriculture, environmentally friendly agriculture, and climate change adaptation, while building brands for specialty agricultural products. It will also strengthen research, transfer, and application of science and technology, including digital technology, in production, management, and production direction, and promote product transactions through e-commerce platforms.
